If you see this sticker- Stop! Call! Then Carry On!

This sticker is a heads up that Gamut Systems and Solutions has at least one finger in the lighting pie of a shopping site or store. Moving a wire or two from one contactor to another, installing a photocell, adding a timer or wiring equipment to a panel may seem like an insignificant change...But in our world of remote monitoring and lighting control, that little action can have consequences ranging from a disruption in data to complete loss of control, leaving the site dark after sunset or lit 24/7.
What might you find at one of our sites?
P-500's- stand alone timers that run off a combination of manual settings and onboard schedules with a service button to locally override the lights for a fixed period. If a facility has a combination of Gamut lighting controllers, P-500's are most often used for building lights or signs. Call Customer Support for help setting the timer and troubleshooting lights that aren't coming on as expected.
P-1900 or Delta Panels- Remote monitored panels that communicate via cellular or ethernet connection. They can have multiple relays running on unique schedules controlling different lighting fixtures or devices at the site. While there is a manual override to activate the lights, there are no local programming or time settings available. The panel may run the lights correctly if communication to our platform is disrupted but remote monitoring, schedule modifications and troubleshooting are dependent on the panel having an active cellular network connection. Depending on configurations, there may be relays and contactors intentionally energized 24/7. Any lights landed on those relays or contactors will burn 24/7 if the correct controls are not installed. Always call Customer Support when working in the electrical panel, with the lights or after a power disruption to confirm all the expected controls and monitoring are in place.
Mesh Node System- Networked system using two-way wireless communication to remotely control individual lights via an online platform. Communication between the platform and base station and then from the base station to each node is required for the system to fully control the lights and collect accurate data. At most Gamut monitored sites, the parking lot poles are energized 24/7 but are lit only when the node is in a scheduled "on" period. We often have a Gamut panel wired as a backup to the mesh system. Call Customer Support for assistance before rewiring any lights or installing any form of lighting control.
Our configurations range from a single panel to multiple panels layered with multiple systems. Call when you arrive and when you leave and anytime in between. From simple tasks like turning the lights on/off to correcting problems with individual poles to troubleshooting a parking lot that's gone dark, we're here to help.
